Black Impulse is a weekly 9-song podcast delivered every Wednesday and Sunday via streaming on mixcloud.
The purpose and aim of Black Impulse is to showcase the great variety of music that people enjoy. Each issue will hopefully entertain as well as inspire the listener.
The categories of podcasts are:
Mix Tapes: a chosen contributor submits a mixtape selection of their favourite music. Any genre or mix of genres can be selected, a sort of desert-island-discs format, without the need for explanations as to why the tracks were chosen.
Sunday Service: Every Sunday we choose a selection of our favourite music based along a theme we probably cooked up in the pub the night before, again no genre is off-limits.
Sonics Reduced: delivered intermittently, basically whenever they are submitted or we have the motivation, these are selections from Black Impulse or outside contributors that don’t quite fit into the other two categories.

I scratch and claw to find interesting, ball busting music. I generally fail. Once in a while I uncover a morcel. You guys are magnificent. In the words of the Swami, these are primo nuggets, and I’m grateful for your efforts in the face of all the eternally shitty music that dominates.
